Caring For Sick Children It will be down to my own discretion whether I can care for a sick child depending on their illness and severity, however if a child has sickness and diarrhoea parents will be called and the child will need to be away from the setting until well again.

Settling in
Past experience has helped me to understand how important visits and short stays are. I always encourage plenty of visits and build up the length of time, so that the child feels safe, secure, happy and comfortable in my home. These are at a mutually convenient time, and depend on the individual needs of the child.
House Rules
There are very few house rules. I expect good manners and respect for each other and my home. I only have rules for keeping children safe and happy. Children in my paid care follow the same rules as my own children.
If it's in my hand, it's mine
If I can take it from you, it's mine
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way
If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine
If it looks like mine, it's mine
If I saw it first, it's mine
If you put something down, it automatically becomes mine
If it's broken, it's YOURS
